    NX6125 sensor readout in Linux (or W2K)?

    Anyone running Linux (or W2K) on NX6125 or related notebook?

    Does anyone know of software to read the fan speed and temperatures for the cpu and motherboard (and harddrive?) ?

    In W2K I tried fiddling with the memory dumps from MBM and it seems HP doesn't use the default supported SMBUS registers for any sensor reaouts. In fact all the dumps were blank (except for PCI ofcourse)? My 'hacking' abilities stop here...

    And no, I don't want to install XP just to see the AMD Dashboard Demo with the core temp readout... :mad:

    There's a file in linux that writes the temperature to a file you can view I think.

    But Torsmo is one of the many programs for linux that can read your temperature methinks.

    Best thing would be to go to your linux distro and ask/search for a solution.
