    Hey,

I am trying to connect my laptop to the TV by going Laptop > DVD Player > TV

I am using the S-Video port and then plugging it in the Yellow/White/Red (Video/Audio L/Audio R) located on the front of my DVD player. Whatever I try I cannot get my laptop to pick any TV up even by forcing.

    Any help appreciated!

S-video port normally output video only. So you shouldn't connect it to the Audio L/R input of your DVD player.

S-video output is supposed to be hooked-up to the S-Video input of your TV/VCR/DVD.
