Hi,
I don't know if this is usual but the display oder videocard (x600 64MB) sometimes refreshes partly just like when you don't use vsync in games.
Is there maybe a special driver for the build in screen (1280x800)
I have the newest bios/video bios and the latest video driver (HP original).

I'm not 100% sure what you mean by "refreshes partly". With that said, try using the lasted drivers from ATI's website and see if this helps. You also need the ATI Mobility Modder utility from www.driverheaven.net/patje to allow the install on your notebook.

well I see a horizontal line when something changes rapidly. It means that the frame changes in the middle of the screen like in this image above. I tried the omega driver 2.6.75.

Have you tried the official ATI drivers and using the Mod from the link I provided above? That's the drivers/mod utility I use for my notebook and I don't get anything like that. If the problem continues, you may want to try a fresh OS reload and see what happens. if it continues after the reload, you may have a defective part (systemboard/video card or LCD).

thanx for the reply. Yes I tried original driver and modded ones. The OS war reinstalled already 2 times I thing not because of this matter but the problem always ocoured. I have allready gotten 2 mainboard (including vpu) replacements because of other problems as well but I have every time experienced this problem. Could you maybe try something for me? If yes I would like you to play a .mov movie in qucktime or itunes and write if the movie plays back without the things I drescribed. If it doesn't I have to call the HP support .... again.

I just found out that if I rotate the screen through the driver the problem is gone (even in iTunes, qucktime) . I can rotate it 90*CW, 90*CCW and even 180* but as soon as I rotate it back to 0* the problem is there.
EDIT: I just tried the TV-out option and even things played with bsplayer (a video player that plays videos without "horizontal lines" ) have the problem that they don't refresh properly (horizontal lines).
EDIT: now there are 5 sample clips attached.
you need quicktime 7 to play them because they're in H264Attached Files:
