    Good evening gentlemen!

A few weeks ago I bought a used NX9420 in excellent condition. Anyhow, today for the first time I plugged in my headphones and discovered a fair amount of noise, in fact so much noise I would have returned the laptop at once had I bought it new. Is this amount of noise normal on the NX9420 or may my laptop have had its line-out jack maltreated by the previous owner?

Sorry for waking up this old thread, but mine is also noisy.
It's a whining noise that I only can hear when the fan is spinning, but the noise varies with HDD seeks. Strange.
I opened it and moved the USB/Audio daughterboard away from the HDD, but no luck.
Pulling the fan plug was the only way to make it go away.

Any solution for this? Well except for using a USB fan controller . .
