I just got my system and it's likely not quite ready for a cleaning but we have a pretty dusty town so I have made a habit of cleaning my laptop fans on a monthly basis. But I always had Dells which for the most part were easy to clean since the fan was modular and easy to remove.
I am just wondering if anyone has a method they like to use on these systems. My instinct is to just remove the keyboard and use a can of air to blow the gook out of the cooling vent and a soft tiny toothbrush to keep dust off the fan blades then blow them out with air.
FYI, in case someone does not know a bit of dust/dirt accumulation on the fan blades really can slow your fan down and make the cooling much less efficent...plus I like to fiddle with my systems...![]()
