    I took a closer look at CPU-Z's info on the type of memory inside my HP DV2000T. It says, Nanya Technology, PC2-5300 (333MHz). Shouldn't the 5300 series have 667 MHz? I apologize if it's an exceedingly dim-witted question. Any help for a hardware neophyte?

    I'm pretty sure it's because the RAM is DDR or double data rate so 333 is actually 667.

    Yes. The actual speed of the RAM is at 333Mhz, but it is doubled, thus 667.
