Currently on most notebooks you can't change the video cards. They're soldered onto the motherboard. I heard that on some Dell models, the video card was removable/upgradable, but can't remember which one. Do a search in the Dell section.

you can't install a graphics card in the PCI slot. I don't know all the information about this but I know its not made, so it must not be possible. I think because all PCI slots on a laptop are 32bit that is reason enough they can't do it, plus it might not provide enough power or cooling for a GPU. Those are just my thoughts though. But I am sure its not possible.

Creysson,
Most notebooks you can install a mini-PCI card which is usually for network cards or bluetooth. It's not designed for video. Even if you got a video card for a notebook, you can't plug it into the HP's because the mini-PCI slots aren't designed for video. The traces only work with a mini-PCI LAN, WiFi or Bluetooth modules in most notebooks. If the mini-PCI slots were designed specifically for a video card, then it will work.
Sorry to say, but you're gonna be stuck with the video card you get with the unit. So I'd recommend getting the best card you can afford so it will last you until your next notebook upgrade.
