Hi. I want to upgrade my nc6000. I like this notebook, it is more durable than my toshiba satellite.

I know that my NC6000 supports 2gb RAM DDR sodimm 667 Mhz. But what i don't know which is the max. hard drive capacity that my motherboard could support; there are rumors saying that it can support a 160gb IDE hard drive.

In the other hand, i wish to know if i can install a DVD 8X drive in the optical drive.

    thank you in advance

I forgot my Bios is 68BDD Ver. F.0E and my processor is an Intel Pentium M 1.5

Yeah, that's my Notebook, JT. I'm not sure about the RAM i checked with Everest it says DDR SDRAM pc2700 (166MHZ) There's another line about the clock that says 333mhz. So how can i identify my RAM?

In the other hand for me is cheaper buying RAM than a new Notebook.

Yup PC2700 is 333mhz. I had a Pentium M notebook with the same chipset and Dothan CPU. Max ram for mine was 2GB (compaq presario B3800). Not sure about hdd though.
