Ave,
I just bought a brand new HP TM2T-1100 tablet for my wife; brought it home and set it all up - only to be faced with the horror that the Intel Wifi 1000 BGN card does *not* support 5GHz wireless n - the preffered wireless signal in my home. The 2.4GHz is miserable at my place. So I need to get something for the tm2t that will provide the 5GHz wireless signal.
I know there are USB offerings for this ... but I had a Question. There is a "MEMORY CARD READER" slot on this tablet ... does that take the PCMCIA cards as well? Like a dual band wireless adapter PCMCIA card?? Or the only choice I have is a USB Dual Band Wireless N Adapter?
Either way - would love some suggestions.
Thanks!!

I just quickly look over your service manual.
Unfortunately, there are no supported wlan cards that operate the 5GHz spectrum that you could replace your Intel Wifi 1000 BGN with.
Your best bet is use a usb adapter that supports the 5Ghz spectrum.
Here's a link that explains a memory card reader is..
What is a Memory Card Reader? -
I also purchased an HP and up graded to the Intel 1000 BGN, what a joke!
that card should be the standard card and the up grade should be to a dual band card.
