This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Working on a friends computer that would not boot up.I tried a recovery to fix it and it doesn't find a O/S. I can hook it up to my pc and it finds both drives.C&D,in this case F&G. One HD test says it's ok,and I try another program to testit and it says it's bad. Any ideas?
