    hey guys,
    i have installed vista ultimate on my dv5215us.... i know that new hp laptops come with 'HP total Care Advisor'
    can someone send me the install for that or tell me where i can get it.

    It looks like I'm a few days late. I was hoping you could give me the link to the HP Total Care Advisor for Vista, or if you know how to hack from the recovery partition.

    Okay, here's the deal:

    HP Total Care Advisor is not available from HP, and no installer has been found.

    One of our forum members, chiaroscurist, ripped the directory that it is installed into, however, and that seems to work if you have the prerequisite files installed.

    So, first you need:

    Either -
    HP Help and Support for Microsoft Vista (32-bit Editions): here

    or

    HP Help and Support for Microsoft Vista (64-bit Editions): here

    And you'll need:

    HP Active Support Library: here

    Then, you can grab the HP Total Care files from: here and extract them to your program files directory and run the program from there.
