The problem is that my notebook Pavilion zt3000 has some troubles during the charging procedure. The thing is that I have to adjust the cable in order to get a contact with the notebook. The thing( I think is called plug) is getting very hot when it is connected to notebook and losses contact at all. The only way I can get charging is to switch off notebook and put the charging cable back in it. Could you please help/ advise what to do. I still have warranty. I assume that the problem might be in the cable or inside the notebook, where the cable connects to notebook for charging.

I had an issue with the power connection inside the notebook too and had to send it back to HP to fix.

The thing is that currently Im out side of the sates. I asked the local HP center for help but they told me that, they cant repair it because I did not buy my notebook from them. I did it in the states, so I contacted to them as well.
The only way to solve my problem is to send the notebook to the sates, which is quite expensive thing to do.
I was just wandering what if I still use notebook with the problem till I get in the sates and when I will repair it there.overall i was using it with this problem for 4 months already.
Will it affect someway to notebook this power jack problem??? Shell I stop using it??? any suggestions???

I'd recommend that you either send it to the States for repair, or if you'll be here on business, use that as the way to get your machine repaired here.
I had a terrific experience with HP support, they repaired my laptop & sent it back to me the same day they received it, so I was without my machine for a total of 2 days - not bad at all, I'd say.
What did their tech support people say? I cannot imagine the cost of shipping from overseas to the States and back, but if you need your machine, it may be the best way to go.
Personally, with ANY power related problem, I would not take a chance on completely frying my laptop due to a faulty power adapter/connector. It's just not worth the aggravation of making a bad condition worse.
Best Wishes! -
I used mine with that problem for a while, its due to crappy construction and the connection is loose back there. So if you've been able to get along so far with it like that, I'd wait till you got back unless you are running out on your warranty.

Thanks guys for your advice. I just found out that if I want to ship it to the states I have to pay around 250$ for the service, which currently I can not afford.[
]
Left with only one option--- when I get to US.
I was thinking to give it to some company to repair, but Im kind of do not want to do that [ you never know what they will do ]. I'm living with this promlem for 5th month already. Time to time is painful but there is no other way[][

One other alternative exists - but take this only for what it's worth, free advice, ok?
If you have a friend or colleague that you can trust with it, and you can live without it for a few days, I'd recommend that you make arrangements wiith someone State-side to receive the laptop, then have them place the service call to have it repaired under warranty service.
Aside from that, you may want to write a letter immediately to HP Corporate to apprise them of the situation and let them know your dissatisfaction with this scenario/product quality, etc. They may compensate you with something for your input and awareness.
Best wishes, and hope your machine gets repaired soon! -
Thanks for useful suggestions.
I would love to ship it to the states, but it seems very expansive
I was thinking to visit local HP service center and ask them how much it will cost to repair, if it is not so expansive I think it would be batter if I do give them some money.I will let you know about consequences. [ hope they will be good ones ]

One more question regarding to my machines problem.
As it seems to me the problem is in the power jack, which locates on the mother board, how serious is that??? Will it create some additional issues, if I wait till I get to US??? [Hopefully in May].
If I will find someone who can fix it, shell I let him to repair it??? I do not care about warranty service if my problem can be fix here. But the only thing that worries me is ----I do not know how serious my problem is!!! Is it easy to fix??? Do I have to remove power jack or I have to do something else. Im asking all these stupid questions, because I really want to know what to do, how to help my machine.
Thanks guys!!!
