I have a 12 cell battery for my DV6568se. The problem is that hte battery drain very quickly. It goes from about 100-80 percent in about 20-30 minutes on power saver mode while im just surfing the web. Also, the battery status bar goes from around 60-50% to 6 percent instantly. Anyone know the problem or a solution? I have already tried calibrating the battery by following the guide on the hp site.

    It might be two things:

    1) The battery is getting busted, probably by one or more of the cells deteriorating. In that case, the only solution is to buy a new one, or ask for a replacement if you're under warranty.
    2) The charge sensor is busted. In that case, the charge values being reported are useless, but the battery is good.

If I understood your post correctly (this part is not very clear), you already tried to let the computer run on battery and it only lasts 20-30 mins. That points to hypothesis 1.

Yeah,on battery it usually last around 20-30 minutes. At that point the meter is usually around 60-50 % left and then it will instantly drop to 6% where the laptop stays on for about 5 more seconds and then shuts off.

That's weird behaviour, but when my old Fujitsu Lifebook S6120's battery started having those problems, shortly after it went completely dead. How old is your laptop? How old is the battery?

Your warranty is probably not covered in warranty, sorry.
