I'm following the following instructions to reinstall XP onto my Pavilion DV8000t notebook. The only problem is that I didn't have the luxury of copying my swSetup folder onto a DVD before I started. My computer was crapped out and I've revived it through a series of bootable discs, etc.

So, the thread I am following is this:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=62357

And I've disabled Native SATA, installed windows and I am at step 16 right now. Thing is, I can't go choose for myself and install the "Intel(R) 82801GBM SATA AHCI Controller" because I don't have it.

I also am having a really really hard time finding the correct one.

Right now, under "IDE ATA/ATPI Controllers" in my Device Manager, my computer looks like this:

    Intel(R) 82801GBM/GHM (ICH7-M Family) Serial ATA Storage Controller - 27c4
    Primary IDE Channel
    Secondary IDE Channel

This is where I am stuck. I don't have the driver. I can't find one that seems to the right one online. I have a USB floppy drive and I have a thumbdrive for my laptop right now. I can get anything from a second computer that I am typing on right now.

If I restart my computer right now and go into the BIOS and turn on Native SATA then my computer will go into rebooting loop. If I then go turn Native SATA to disable, then it books back up like normal.

Any help would be GREAT! I've read and read and read and can't figure this out.

    Thanks guys.
