    Hi Friends.

I live in Brazil and buyed my dv9230us in a travel on last february on US (Circuit City on Newport Beach, CA).

After come here in Brazil i open my laptop box and the first thing i do is write the OS Recover Discs.

But my notebook hangs just when the OS Recovery is getting files to make a disk. I pressed my shutdown button to restart windows for try write disks again but my surprise is that i get a Boot ERROR message.

I called HP Chat Support to know what i have to recover my system but the "experts" wont help nothing. The only thing they can do is send-me a OS Recovery Discs to US POSTAL DELIVERY ONLY.

I send billing adress of a friend but my friend is here with me in Brazil for the next 4 months and i want to recover my system with HP Preload software the most fast is possible.

Im using Windows Vista installed of a Retail disc that comes in my box but i can't make this system runs fine that OS Preloaded is.

I write this because if have any friend here to have the same model and can give-me a help sending the OS Recovery Discs images to an FTP of my Dedicated Server (The Planet Server) i will thank a lot.

If not have anyone here to help-me with this discs i stay here with the Recovery Partition Complete. THERE IS ANY WAY TO RECOVER OR BURN RECOVERY DISC WITH THESE FILES THAT ARE IN RECOVERY PARTITION?

    Best Regards

You have to get those discs from HP if the recovery manager continues to give you problems. As those recovery discs have a Windows license in them (and an OEM license tied to their computer) it will be illegal if someone gives you them and you would probably screw that person over.

I would suggest you contact HP Technical Support...even those "experts" as you put should be able to help.
