Hey. I recently bought a envy 17 3070 and it's been awesome so far but I've begun to question if I should return it with the release of the pavilion dv7 with the ivy bridge and the gt 650M.

I've been on and off about what should I do and was hoping maybe you guys can help me decide what I should do. Keep the envy, return it and get the dv7 or the upcoming refresh to the envy line?

    Thanks in advance

My advice is think about why you bought it in the first place. If you like the envy then why send it back to get the dv7t with an ugly design. The envy 17 is in my opinion is way better than any Pavilion available right now. I would only return the envy 17 if your within the 21 day return policy and you know for a fact new version with Ivy bridge is coming out soon. That's the only reason I would even consider returning it. But not for no dv6t or dv7t with an ugly design. By the way if all you care about is gaming then go for it otherwise the envy 17s 7690m XT is not that bad of a card and can handle most games on Medium to high setting. My experiences with this card.
Battlefield 3 40-50 fps on medium to high settings...
Modern Warfare 3 everything on max about 50ish fps I believe...
NBA 2k12 Max settings with Vsync off over 100fps Vsync on 60 and never dips
DC Universe Max setting 70 fps
These are the only games I own and I love them...

I'd agree with adamdoom... Really, the envy 17 has more then enough power to play basically anything out there right now... unless you know there's going to be the ivy bridge refresh of the envy line, I'd just keep the current envy that you have.
