Hey, I was hoping to get this slim AC adapter (the NEWest version, part # BT798AA). Until today, I hadn't seen it anywhere other than HP's website where it has been stuck at $99.99

    Today (maybe only today?):
HP 90W Slim Adapter | HP® Official Store

They have it for $75. If you use an HP Academy account it comes down to $69!

But it gets better, there is a %15 coupon: ACY58341

Unlike many HP coupons, this WILL stack with the student discount which brings the cost down to $58 +tax. It's unlikely we'll see this good a deal again any time soon.

    Free shipping too!

Hope this helps someone. I hate the normal adapter... its SO bulky and the power cord is sooo excessively long. I really hope this solves my problem. Hope this is better.

Also note that there is an older model: HP Slim Power Adapter | HP® Official Store

It will come out to the same price with all the same discounts but it is much older that I'm assuming is being phased out by the one posted above. Further, it is only 65W (opposed to the original AC adapter of 90W). Apparently it should still work alright with the Envy 14 (or so hp says) but it will likely charge much more slowly.

Thanks for the find. My regular AC adapter has a really annoying buzz/whine that I'd like to do without.

sorry to revive an old thread, but the topic was fitting.

I was trying to find the Part # of the 65W slim adapter that you can buy as a $75 option. I looked at the service manuals and could not find it anywhere...
Does anyone have such a part number ? Because I suspect, like the slice, it might be cheaper in the parts store than the regular store.
I am talking about this one

Being a 65W I suppose charges will take longer. But the form factor and having less wires is a huge plus. However reviews suggest the cord supplied is too shrt. Anyone has any experience to share about that item ?
