    Hi,

    I'd like to replace samsung's 60GB 5400RPM harddrive
    in my dv1000. It's warm and noisy (clicking noise).

    What's a good replacement? Is seagate 60GB/54KRPM
    a good buy? I'd like it to be very quiet. Pls help.

    I got a Fujitsu 80GB 5400RPM HDD with 8MB cache from Newegg.com and it's very silent.

    I've tried hitachi's drive in the past. They seem to
    be noisy. For what I use this laptop, 5400RPM is
    fine. THanks for the link though.
