How do I disable it completely on my Dv6000? I plan to leave my laptop on for the whole night, because it is charging my new mp3 player and my MP3 player needs 8 hours of charging, I want to be able to put the lid down and for it to stay more then 10 hours before going into sleep mode. And is it ok to leave my laptop on that long?

it's fine to leave it on that long.

    In XP:
right-click power option in the bottom right. >>> Go to adjust power properties. >>> tell the system to neevr standy or hibernate.

It should eb similar in Vista I'm just not on that laptop now, and you didn't tell what OS you're using... how is it urgent? :p

Right click on the battery icon in the taskbar, and click on power options. When the window opens, on the left click on "change when this computer sleeps".
