What concerns me is the heat, not sure why it worries me. I was at a store yesterday and not even 20 minutes on the machines just playing around with it, running some website stream, running virus scan and that top left corner started getting really hot.

Now with that included 9 cell battery, how much bigger does it make the bottom? And does this help with heat dissipation?

The i5/5850 will run a tad cooler than i7/5650 but it would really come down to how well the thermal paste was applied. And for info on the specific models you can always check out the owners lounge.
