I have a HP 6910p which comes with a lot of "HP stuff" which I don't think I really need.

The only thing I would like is to logon / authenticate using my fingerprint.

Please tell me which of the below I could uninstall without stopping me doing the above:

    - Autenthic FIngerprint sensor minimum install (I guess I need this)
    - BIOS configuration for HP protect tools
    - Credential Manager for HP Protect Tools
    - Device Access Manager for HP protect tools
    - Drive encription for HP Protect Tools
    - Embedded Security for HP Protect Tools
    - HP Product Detection
    - HP Protect Tools Security Manager

    Thanks for the help

None of that is really bloatware. Just turn them off in msconfig. There's no need to uninstall them. Business laptops don't come with bloatware like consumer laptops.

No, but my guess is that all those programs combined barely take up any space. A lot of that seems pretty helpful, like a BIOS configurator, and Drive encryption. Unless you're using every last ounce of HDD space, there's no reason to get rid of that stuff.

i removed everything with a clean format, used the Vista Biz DVD provided, installed and then downloaded the DRIVERS ONLY from HP Website.

    Fast and solid.

I dont need the fingerprint thingy.

For logging in with fingerprints you only need:

    - Autenthec Fingerprint sensor minimum install (I guess I need this)
    - Credential Manager for HP Protect Tools
    - HP Protect Tools Security Manager

    so you can safely remove:

    - BIOS configuration for HP protect tools
    - Device Access Manager for HP protect tools
    - Drive encription for HP Protect Tools
    - Embedded Security for HP Protect Tools
    - HP Product Detection
