    Need help locating 2nd RAM slot in nc8430

    Hi all,

    What follows is potentially a very stupid question, but I want to ask anyway as its burning me up.

    I wanted to upgrade my nc8430 from 1GB RAM to 2GB. However I can only find one RAM slot in the compartment on the underside of the notebook. Consulting the manuals concluded that there is two, but I cant for the life of me work out where the second RAM stick islocated.

    Its probably a case of me lookin in the wrong place, I just assumed it would be underneath the slot I found (managed to switch out an original 500mb stick, so the notebook now has 1.5GB RAM), but I cant see it anywhere.

    Any help appreciated

    Under the keyboard.

    Remove the two screws from the bottom side (they have a keyboard icon). Once removed you can detach the keyboard. You have to take one more step to lift the keyboard. It is secured with four small "switches" between the function keys. Then lift the keyboard from the top side. You will see the memory slot just beneath.
