I bought a external monitor for my 9500t, which sucks is that I need to open the lid and turn on the laptop and then the monitor will show my desktop. I read that you can turn on a a laptop with a key from the keyboard. How do I do this with the 9500t?

    Thanks a million

I'm not sure the BIOS will support it, but some keyboards come with an on/off and sleep button for your computer. The sleep will definately work, and the off part of the on/off button will definately work, but I'm not sure about turning it on.

You can only do that turning your laptop off by making it SLEEP. Not if you will shut it down completely.
