Are you using the correct media?

You have a choice to make on that screen:

    one 16gig USB flash drive

    - or -

    four DVD (+/-R) disks

    - or -

    two DVD\DL disks

If you are using a USB flash drive as the medium in which to create your recovery disk, then it has to be one that is at least 16gig in size. The recovery process will consume at least 14gig of that, so I have been told.

The whole process could take up to 60 minutes to create all four recovery disks, if using DVD's was your choice. You would be prompted at regular intervals to insert the next new, blank disk when the Recovery Manager was ready to continue.

If you ever have to use your Recovery Disk(s), to restore your PC to it's factory condition, the process could take upwards of two hours depending upon the hardware. My times may be off alittle, but it does take quite awhile.

I created my Recovery Disk using a 16gig USB flash drive and I like it far better than having to be there to insert the next disk to continue. Easier to store as well. Disks also have a nasty tendency to become scratched over time - especially if you carry them around in your bag with you, IMO.
