    No, you have the AMD version of the dv2500z series but the guides are for the Intel dv2500t version. However your hardware should be almost similar to the dv6500z/dv6600z & the dv9500z. So, try this guide instead...

    Still for my dv2620us it was not working. I was getting MEDIA not found Error........HP guys could not help. Tried for many days and found a solution. Oooph... Rewarded with a Great sound.
    1. Install update kb888111xp2en.exe. Restart
    2. Install SP33867.exe .... Restart
    3. Download SP35682.exe
    4. Unzip this to a Folder.
    Now the Important:
    5. Goto Device Manager and double click "Audio on High Def. Bus"
    6. In the "details" Tab Select "Hardware IDs". Note down the strings.
    (in my case it was HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_14F1&DEV_5045&SUBSYS_103C30D6
    7. Open the folder created in Step 4. Open the file wis30B2a.inf. Go to the Section [Conexant] and TYPE/Replace the Strings you have noted down in Step 6.
    (My case it is

    [Conexant]
    %HdAudioFunctionDriver.Waikiki5047.DeviceDesc% = HdAudModel,HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_14F1&DEV_5045&SUBSYS_103C30D6
    )

    8. Save.
    9. Double click "Setup.exe"

    DONE. ENJOY.
