I'm new here, don't know much about computers and need some info. I bought a laptop off some guy, it is the ZD7000 and supposedly has a 128mb Nvidia video card. How can I make sure this laptop really has this video card? How do I know if the P4 is the extreme edition? Also, is there anyway I can use the serial # to get the history of this laptop (if its been refurbished, when it was made, when it was purchased, etc.)? I've learned alot from these forums, hopefully you can help me here. Thanks.

    for system information go to:

Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Information

It brings up a panel window, click on the "Display" under components to see your vid card information. The processor will be under "SYstem Summary"

Thanks, I was afraid I got ripped off but it was the right card. I tried asking HP the same simple question, but their customer service is terrible, the guy didn't know what the hell I was talking about, he kept giving me part numbers for TV tuners....anyway....Can someone tell me if I can purchase the extended warranty from HP even though I didn't buy the laptop from them? Do I just order it then register online with the serial # or something? How does it work?
