Need original HP DM4 Beats edition wallpaper!

It's gone.. could someone please give me the original wallpaper to the DM4-3099?

Hey buddy, don't you think I havent tried that? Where do you think I got the pic I posted from? Why don't you try looking for it for me on google then? The only place I know I can get it is from someone that has it as their background on their beats edition dm4..

 

I need this wallpaper too, I owned a similar 3090se laptop, but I have lost my hdd partition including the recovery when I tried to install linux, I got everything back to normal except the wallpaper,

Haha that's EXACTLY what happened to me! I was installing Ubuntu Linux 12.04 and being my first time partitioning a hdd to dual boot, I messed up the windows partition and had to reinstall Windows 7 and redownload alllllllll the drivers on the HP site but it's impossible to get that wallpaper back since it was in the hdd that I wiped..

Only way I could get it is if someone uploads that Beats wallpaper from their dm4 beats edition.. Someone has to have a dm4 on this site! Especially since the commercial has been popping up all the time lol. Someone with a dm4 please help!

I want to run linux on my next laptop. The DM4 Beats edition is high on my list of potential buys. I like the weight, high res screen and Intel graphics.

Does linux run well on the DM4 Beats edition? I run the latest Mint Linux.

Any other comments about the DM4 would be appreciated also.

@ArpitaMani - DM4 3099SE is older model and 3170SE is latest model. The main difference between them is 3099SE has Sandy Bridge CPU with Graphic 3000 version while 3170SE has Ivy Bridge CPU with Intel Graphic 4000.

I FINALLY got the DM4 beats wallpaper! My hard drive failed (thank goodness for Ubuntu One for auto cloud storing my files) and HP replaced it under warrenty and gave me the recovery discs which of course has the original wallpaper! Not the way I wanted to get the wallpaper but whatever works I guess.

I was actually using this since the day you posted it and never got a chance to thank you cause I couldnt remember my password for this site so here's a belated "thank you!" That was proper design skills there mate! :thumbsup:

Yeah man, I couldn't find it anywhere.. I'm actually surprised no one has bothered to upload the wallpaper. I'm sure there are many people with DM4s on this laptop forum especailly as popular as the DM4 is getting.

Haha right on man! I didn't know there was a second page on my thread.. I gave up after the first month or so after Danny uploaded his version he made.. And honestly there isn't much difference to the original!

I say go grab one at Walmart NOW! This laptop is incredible for around $800. It's sexy as hell too and doesn't look too overdone like the Alienware laptops. Red backlit keys are the perfect brightness, webcam and mic work great, screen is superb, touchpad is a lot like the Apple ones that everyone knows and loves, and the biometric fingerprint scaner is freaking sweet! I never have to enter anymore passwords ever again! Just swipe your finger when asked to login any site you are registered for and it logs you in! Also if anything happens to it their customer service is great.

And to answer your question, Yes. Linux runs beautifuly on the DM4. I run Ubuntu 10.14 and everything works! the wireless switch, volume keys mute key, brightness adjustment keys, all without having to find special drivers for it and what not.

Just make sure you read up on how to properly partition your drives and install Ubuntu or you'll ended up having to reformat a zillion times till your hard drive dies on you
