This thread intend to update blksnake's old ML-34 undervolting thread. Basically, I kept every tools the same as usual except use new versions.
What do you need:
Undervolting utility: RMClock V2.2 or CrystalCPUID(but I didn't use it.)
Monitor: AMD power Monitor & Dashboard Demo
Torture tester: Prime95
My configuration:
CPU: AMD MK-36 @ 2.0GHz 512K L2 cache
RAM: 512MB DDR2 @ 677 MHz
HDD: 80GB 5400RPM SATA
Battery: 6 cell @ 4000 mAh/4300mWh
Here are stock setup before any twist:

Here is the screen shot of RMClock v2.2 of my result:

As you can see, my 10x VID result is not that great, only 1.15V. But my 4x VID is 0.8V which really makes me happy. The CPU temp stay in 47~50C and really can't hear much of fan spinning. I don't know if there is any new fan control design or not, but it is super quite to me. The CPU temp will go as high as 61C when Prime95 torture testing in full clock. The chassis temp is about 42C under the HDD, and around 37C under the CPU.
Battery Life time:
HD Video playing time: 105 mins playing 1080i 30fps clip on HDD at 800MHz.
Battery eater: 2:08 hr in full load at 800MHz.
Conclusion: The lower end result really surprise me. The battery eater result is comparable to BenQ Core 2 Duo result that is equipped with 4700mAh battery. That's 18% more than mine.![]()
