I have a DV6TQE that was plagued by the dynamic graphic switching problem of 2011. HP's recent BIOS update fixed that. I can now easily switch between the 6770M and Intel's graphics solution. I've also noticed that my game performance has generally improved.

However, since this BIOS update, I've also noticed that I now get screen tearing in any game I've tried to play (ex - Starcraft 2, Half Life 2, Portal 2, Batman AA). I've tried to play around with in-game vsync settings and the out of game CCC, but to no avail. If it helps, I'm using the stock drivers from HP, am playing my games in full screen and have also made sure that my laptop's refresh rate is set at 60 Hertz.

    Any ideas? Thank you.
