Buying the new DM1-4010US 11.6" model laptop. Never owned an HP before, but this model has received many good reviews and I need something small and light for travels and very basic computing: internet and emails mostly.
As you know it comes preloaded with Windows 7 Home Premium. I have two other laptops purchased within the past year, (both Dell's). My preference is to format the new machine and clean install a full version of Windows 7. No crap, no BS, no bloatware.
But after reading some posts in this thread: http://forum.notebookreview.com/hp-pavilion-notebooks/578817-removing-bloatware-reinstall-win7.html, I'm wondering if I can save the time of doing a clean install and the cost of buying another Windows 7 disk?
I guess my question is does this specific model laptop offer the Minimized System Image installation option? And for those of you who have used this option, what's your opinion of it versus a format and clean install?
    Thank you.

I dont know if it offers it but it should. I prefer the minimized system image as it comes with all of the drivers preinstalled whereas with my dv6 when i tried a clean install i had no internet AT ALL. (No wifi, no ethernet)
