HP has added some more options for the DV1000 this morning. One that caught my eye is a 5400rpm 80gb hd. Almost ordered last night, but now I glad I waited!

    A few other changes were...

1x512 memory is now more expensive than 2x256. Makes more sense, but not sure if this increased the base price of the unit when getting 1x512. The upgrade to 2x512 is now $125 vs. $150.

Broadcom wireless. The sales guy at HP said this may be a PC card and not integrated.

Upgrade to 2200 with bluetooth is only $25 now instead of $50.

Targus Mobile Entertainment case is offered as option. This is the one picutred in the gallery on notebookreivew.com. Seems like an excellent match for the dv1000 and v2000.

It does seem like the base price went up a little bit (around $50), but I can't confirm that since I didn't save the old price info.

That would not be an external card...that's just silly talk.
