Hey guys, I was considering putting in a new hdd in my 6500t, because I would prefer a 7200rpm drive. Anyone have any how to's, or know how to do this?

What interface should I get? SATA 1.5 GB/s or SATA 3 GB/s, does it matter for my 6500t? I have t7300 and 2 gigs of ram. I'm soon to be 4 gigs w/ 64 bit vista, I dono if this changes anything.

Either will work as the 3GB will fall back to 1.5GB if that's the interface you have. The 3GB interface drives use a little more electricity and your laptop has a 1.5 interface, so 1.5 would be best due to the slight power savings.

That's what I'm asking, I don't know what interface I have or how to determine it.

1.5GB/s is what you have. Either will work. A drive with a 3GB interface will not perform any faster and will use slightly more power, thus lowering the amount of time you can operate by battery power.
