Hi there i have just bought an HDX 16t and as soon as i opened i saw that there where scratces and a light crack (something that could happen if i had close the lid with something between the keyboard and the screen )on the top lest corner of the chassis right above the power button and generally all the metal part above the touch buttons is uneven. The problem is noticable but not huge what should i do????? Anyone else with the same problem????

Now is the time to have HP send a replacement. Your in your first 30 days.. If they don't, you still have the option to return for a full refund. You bought a new system and it should not have scratches. What probably happened is your machine failed final testing and they had to go back and rework it replacing something. In fact, in determining the issue they may have had to replace a couple of things before it passed FT. Generally speaking, electronics are easy to assemble without damaging the chassis etc.. but much more of a pain when taking apart. Post a picture here if you can of the damage. I'm thinking when you call HP they will probably offer you a discount for the trouble. They hate to take it back and have to sell it as a refurbished unit. At that point, its your call.

Get a replacement or refund.

Like both have stated, get one or the other. This notebook is supposed to be blemish free if it is in fact brand new.
