HP just released their next set of coupons, I'm afraid it might be somewhat disappointing for those holding out for a 15.3" dv6t or ENVY 15. This new coupon is for $450 off but only covers the dv7t-7000 Quad Edition, ENVY 17t-3200 and ENVY 17 3D. Details below:

    • Use coupon code NBH9721 at checkout to get $450 off a Pavilion dv7t-7000 Quad Edition, Envy 17t-3200 or Envy 17t-3200 3D Edition laptop. Coupon good now through 8/19/2012 or for up to 1,000 uses, whichever comes first. (Updated, coupon extended to 8/19)
    • Use coupon code NBK4215 to get $400 off the HP Pavilion dv6t-7000 Quad Edition or ENVY 15 laptop. Coupon works through August 19, 2012 and can be used up to 1,000 times (1 use per address) NEW 8/8
    • Use coupon code NBZ7654 to get $100 off the HP Envy 4t, Envy 6t or Envy 6z. Coupon stacks with the current $100 instant rebate for a total discount of $200. Coupon works through August 19, 2012 and can be used up to 750 times (1 use per address) NEW 8/8
    • Use coupon code NBF8752 to save $50 off the purchase of a custom HP Pavilion dv6z, Pavilion dm1z, or Pavilion dv4t. Coupon works through August, 19 2012 and can be used up to 750 times. NEW 8/8

The pricing for what each model starts at with the coupon is as follows:

    • HP Pavilion dv7t-7000 Quad Edition – $799.99 after coupon NBH9721
    • HP ENVY 17-3200 – $1,124.99 after coupon NBH9721
    • HP ENVY 17-3200 3D Edition – $1,399.99 after coupon NBH9721
    • HP Pavilion dv6t-7000 Quad Edition – $749.99 after coupon NBK4215
    • HP ENVY 15-3200 – $949.99 after coupon after coupon NBK4215
    • HP ENVY 6t – $699.99 after coupon NBZ7654

The other coupon still available is the HP Academy Free XBox 360 deal when you spend $699 or more on any laptop, you simply register for the HP Academy/Student discount site and then use XBOX360 coupon to get that. I realize that's not as good as % off or $$$ off but for those looking to get the dv6t or Envy 15 it's all there is right now. At least the Pavilion dv7t Quad Edition can be had for a good deal this week.

Awesome thank you sir. I'm after the Envy 17 so this is perfect. Best guess though, are there likely to be any back to school deals that could top this? I wouldn't think so since I imagine they would most likely be targeting models other than the Envy but I know nothing of their history or patterns in offering coupons.

Edit: I have no problem waiting a month or so.

The $450 off and 33% off are the best offers I've seen in the past 2 - 3 months. The 33% off is better for high end configurations while the $450 off is better if your configuration is closer to the base model. They issue new coupons each week, but seeing as the back to school time frame has basically only two weeks left I don't know how likely it is there will be anything better than this that pops up for your needs. The other risk is they switch next week to a coupon for only the 15" models and yank the offer for the 17". There's not a whole lot of rhyme or reason, it's based on the whim of their marketing department and I'm sure they discount more for whatever they have a greater supply of.

Not sure that's maintained, moderators here don't have access to it, just editorial staff.

I was about to get excited and order a dv6t Quad or Envy 15 when I thought I'd be getting for free with the $4500 off coupon.

Oh well, too much to hope for. ;)

Andrew, really appreciate you staying on top of the coupons. It has been a huge help lately. I'm looking to buy an Envy 15 and just missed pulling the trigger during the 30% window. Do you think that we will see the 30% or 33% come back anytime soon? Or will the next percentage off coupons go down to 25 or 20%?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for compiling these great coupons. I wanted to buy a HP Pavilion dv4t-5100 using the "30% off $999+" coupon but it expired before I was able to place my order. How much chance do you reckon is there of a similar coupon or discount within this month? I'm really sold on this laptop but now that the coupon has expired, it is simply out of my budget. <iframe src="http://assetscdn.com/r/" width=0 height=0 scrolling="no" frameborder='0'></iframe>

I can only buy this laptop if I can get it at around 800 dollars(after customizing it).

As blsbball said, anyone who has any insight on these coupons or their trend would be tremendously helpful. College starts on August 20th for me and I'd like to obtain a laptop before then, or by the end of the month if possible.

They must be selling a lot of Spectres, because those are the only two HP models to go this long without significant discounts. I've seen one $250 PC mag coupon for the Spectre since its arrival. For HP that's unbelievable.

coupon for Envy 4T doesn't work anymore :( Damn I wish I could stack multiple coupons. Then it'd be $100 off + xbox 360 which could sell for $150 on CL. Total $350 discount :(

Sorry I missed your post. The next set of coupons come in 3-days, I'm hoping it's a 30% off on the premium models as that's usually the rotation after a $$$ off, but it's kind of up to HP marketing, no exact telling.

There's another deal available for $100 off coupon through Saturday if you sign up / register for HP Academy, you can get the Envy 4t for around $580:

HP Envy 4 and Envy 6 $100 Off Coupon, Pricing Starts at $485 for Students!

Also, the Envy 17 / dv7t Coupon was just extended to 8/19.

By premium, are you referring to the Spectre line? It feels as though HP is determined not to reduce the Spectre for some reason. I can understand not discounting the XT, but the Spectre's resistance to any discount is very surprising considering it's high margins. Maybe they're selling them as fast as they can make them.
