HP has just issued a new 30% off coupon that works on most laptops, including the popular Pavilion Quad Edition models and ENVY laptops. Here are the details on this new 30% off coupon:

    - Use coupon code NBY8552 to get 30% off any laptop configured over $999. Coupon works through <strike>July 31, 2012</strike> August 4, 2012 and can be used up to 1,000 times (1 use per address)
Excludes the following models: Pavilion dv6t Select, dv7t Select, M6, Envy 6t, Envy 14 Spectre, Envy Spectre XT

Coupon works on most popular models including the dv6t and dv7t Quad Editions and ENVY 15 / 17 / 17 3D models. Pricing examples and configs after coupon are below:

Not as good as the 33% off coupon from a couple of weeks back, but still pretty good.

Surprising that this one may be limited in use, as I don't remember if they limited the last coupon (33%) to limited uses save for the Envy 15.

They all may have been limited use and we just never hit it, though maybe HP is deciding they're losing too much if they left the coupon unlimited.

I successfully applied this coupon retroactively to a purchase of an Envy 15 I made 20 days ago. Note, however, that I was first told via online chat that since I had bought the computer with a $400 off coupon and had received another $30 credit (because the keyboard isn't flat), they could not apply the new coupon, and I would have to do a return and order again with the new coupon. She sent me an RA number and the FedEx return email.

I then immediately called customer service and they refunded me the difference of $111 between the two coupons and cancelled the return.

I assume the moral of the story here is just call customer service first, though perhaps having the RA number expedited the phone call...

good to know, ridiculous they'd want to pay to do a return as shipping and handling the return, then refurbishing the laptop would easily cost in excess of $100 itself. Glad they have business sense and doing the right thing for a customer at the same time!

Just an update to this, they've extended the coupon to be valid until August 4, 2012.

Thanks! u just save me another $100 on my HP purchase. Called customer service and after an hr arguing, they agreed to credit my account with $100 (at almost the exact difference in price i paid for which is $112). Had to ask to speak to a supervisor as the first line customer rep was unwilling to apply this coupon.
    THANKS again for sharing!!!!

How often do these coupons cycle? I'm having a tough time deciding on which model to get.

They refresh with new coupons after the current ones expire, it may be a dollars off instead of % off though. Generally the better deals with % off are for high end configurations while the low end more standard configs benefit more from the dollars off. Anyway, the next coupons will arrives August 4/5th

How often do they run coupons for the Envy 14 Spectre? I'm guessing they're harder to come by than the rest of them.

I have yet to see one, they rarely discount the Ultrabook ENVY series.

Looks like I procrastinated a little too long. Rough guess when do you think the next round of 30%-33% coupons will come? I'm mainly eyeing the envy 17.

    Thanks Andrew.

Did you try to use it? I just order an HP ENVY 15t just yesterday with this.

Yeah it expired on the 4th and it must have hit midnight in whatever time zone they base it off of when I tried to order last night.

Looks like the coupon was used up, new coupons should arrive tomorrow. I'll post when they're released.

    Hi Andrew,

Sorry if this is an awkward introduction (first post). I tried using the NBY8552 coupon code yesterday (at around 9PM EST), and guess like it's all dried out.

I'm sure the community and fellow broke-college-freshman-on-a-budget-from-hell would appreciate another 30% coupon. Thanks for your help!

Hi there, I'm not sure what model you're looking for but the new coupon HP has for this week is a $450 off their 17" performance models, see new thread here:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/hp-...on-dv7t-quad-envy-17-aug-5th-12th-2012-a.html

Unfortunately, if you had your eyes set on a 15" model then there's really not much to go on other than the free XBox 360 deal they're offering. Who knows, maybe they'll release another coupon later in the week for the 15" editions.
