Just got it a few days ago. Please excuse the poor quality. I'm not great with phototaking...

    Fixed the title.

TY for the pics. How old is the V2000, the left palm rest seems to have worn out pretty bad. My brother has the same laptop(Intel version) and is about a year old and both sides and the touchpad have worn out an it looks incredibaly ugly. I guess thats the price you have to pay for cheaper laptops.

Maybe about 9 months old tops. It's my brothers V2000z. He's a crazy World Of Warcraft freak, so he plays a lot. So much that he blew out his processor 6 moths after he got it. He has a cooling pad now :)

What's the battery life on that new HP? That's a sweet-looking unit by the way...I really like HPs design on their laptops.

Also, does it have a button anywhere to shut off the touchpad if needed? I love that feature on my ZV6000 but it seems like laptops few and far between (in all makes and models) fail to have something like that. To me that's ultra convenient and literally was a selling feature for me when I bought mine. Just curious.

No, no touch pad on/off button, I really want one too. Haven't had a chance to see the battery, although at 100% and some unknown level of brightness (not dazzlng, just sufficient), the Battery Meter usually says it's between 4-5 hours left. Although I wouldn't trust the meter. Great KB btw, pretty close to Lenovo keyboards.

Well it's nice to see you bought the nx9420 MGS2392. I haven't had access to the net for quite some time so that's the reason for my absence and my later than expected review (which will come soon after a couple of more pictures). Hope you enjoy that notebook as I still love mine right now!

Thanks for the pics. I love how thin that laptop is and how it is only 7.4 pounds, very light for a 17" laptop.
