And I was just about to jump the gun on a dv6t when I really want a 14 inch laptop. I'm sold. Any idea on the release date?

And yet the crappy displays keep on coming... they shouldn't release anything larger than 13" without a 1600x900 display (option).

I agree. 900p should be a option. But what do we know on the envy 14 or when the alienware m14x will be available.

How did you find that page? Is there something like that for the new envy 14?

I have a feeling the DV4 won't be available in North America, just like the Lenovo Y400 series. I hope I'm wrong. I would love to see this laptop.

    Agreed.

I doubt this is coming to North America. Seems like it's meant to replace the dv3.

Hey any idea when this model and the HP dv6-6xxx series will launch in India? Nobody seems to have a clue about this. I'm guessing April end or beginning of May.

I hope HP will sell this DV4 in the US. I'll be replacing my 2009 DV4 next year and prefer this over the new DV6 based only on size. (The DV6 is otherwise just what I'm looking for).

I am not getting my hopes up about this ever coming to the U.S. Hopefully they will at least refresh the Envy 14 with SB processors soon.

It will probably have an AMD6770, like the new dv6 has. The old dv6 had an ATI5650 and so the Envy.

Yep, but no one knows what GFX it will come with yet. There is a report the new Envy 14 comes with an AMD 6630. If that report is true than it is very unlikely the dv4 will get an AMD 6750, because HP doesn't want there cheaper notebook being more powerful. If it does get a 6750 then we can also be pretty sure that the report is false.

I am most excited that the HP page for it says it comes with the latest AMD processors, which would be Llano.

I beg to differ ----> HP Pavilion dv4-3000 Entertainment Notebook PC series Home & Home Office

Of course this model is going to be launched in India somewhere this month only (probably May 18th itself) but its a DV4-3XXX series only. Maybe the US models have AMD Llano. But I think the AMD 6750 is gonna be there for sure.

Hp should discontinue their Envy series if they keep releasing those crappy Screens. Seriously at least get 1600x900. Definition of OVERERRATED.

    ... In Sri Lanka?

It's only been released in some Asian countries, iirc.
