Nice find, looks like we're going to have a (3rd-generation) refresh of the Envy 17 soon. :)

Haha, I'm still in my 21 day grace period for my 17t-2100 3D. Send it back?

I doubt there will be any 30% off coupons available when they release though.

    7000M will be released Q1 2012.
Since there is no new GPU, nor new CPU lineup, I doubt a release before 2012

I am ordering one and I was wondering if anyone has seen the 1600X900 screens. I do not need the blu-ray and the 8 gigs for an additional 300 dollars just so I can have a 1920X1080 screen. In Sweden (where I am ordering it) they do not give me the option of upgrading just the screen...any advice on whether the 1600X900 screen pops out at you? I have only had 1366X768 before. On an older Acer 16 inch it was OK. Is it worth considering at this resolution?

something I was really wondering, it has 2 audio outs, for headphones and stereo, but does it support S/PDIF?

Cause I still have a nice 5.1 system with a digital audio output...so I hope at least one of those audio outs on this laptop has the S/PDIF option?

Judging by photos of the most recently announced models, there are 3 audio jacks: one headphone, one mic, and one headphone+mic (likely TRRS). At least, I think that's what it has.

Anyway, given 3 audio jacks, hopefully they're smart enough to offer 6-channel analog.
