    I just got a new HP HDX 16t laptop and it has tons of bloatware. Now i dont want to do a reinstall but if someone can just tell me (or point me to a thread) as to which softwares are useless, and which i should keep, that would be really useful!

    Tell you the truth, I didn't find much crapware on mine. What stuff are you seeing?

    Same here. I do not consider my system bloated. It does have a bunch of HP applications but apart from that there are a few media apps, virus scanner (Norton, which I uninstalled), and I can't remember what else (at work atm).

    I am however, considering installing a copy of Vista Ultimate that I own. I've heard stories of people losing the ability to recover from boot after installing a clean OS. This is preventing me from proceeding...
