Best Buy has new HP notebooks on sale. The new intersect imprint is on the dv4, dv5 and dv7. There's a dv4se, a g60, some business models and surprisingly, a dv3510nr!

It looks almost like a copper color...not sure how much I like it.

Its unusual to see HP's business line of notebook at a retailer store. I'm disappointed to see that the only models available are the low-end ones. I hope they include the 8530p/w.

The Copper adds accent to the notebook. I'd only get it so that my notebook(s) are different from every other notebook of the similar model.

Interesting on the "bronze/chrome" models how it look like HP slapped a plastic overlay on top of the standard silver/chrome and called it a new model.

Also, something to note would be that the business laptops, although the base ones, will allow users to get an idea of size and general look of the Elitebooks that are finally starting to ship. Furthermore, both list they come with XP Pro pre-installed with the upgrade to Vista business available (whether this is given as a disk in the box or via Hard drive partition or something I am not sure yet). This, in my opinion, is great as it means I can get a hands on look at the business series before purchase and get XP Pro. I have no problems with Vista as that is what my desktop is running, but it is nice to get the choice rather than just being given one option.

Holy crap monkeys, I just noticed the new 13" also! That's gonna give the Lenovo U330 a run for its money considering they keep pushing back shipment dates. Also, the specs on that model blow away the U330 in several key areas. It is also much better than the current offerings of the Dell Inspiron 13 series. This should be awesome when Best Buy runs a $150-$250 off instantly sale on it down the road.

Image...a 13" light laptop that has discrete graphics (Nvidia 9300 GS w/ 512 MB), a new P7350 2.0 GHz 3MB L2 cache processor (benefit of the newer, more power effiecent Intel system), biometric finger print reader, 4 GB of ram, and a 320 GB hard drive that is 5400 rpm and 2.5 inch (no crappy 1.8" 4,200 rpm drive).

Only minor sore spots that I could see would be the screen resolution (for some, although it is LED backlit), the Intel 5100 WiFi card as the 5300 has been reported to work better, and the possible and probable heat and lower battery life this unit may have based on current models from the HP family.

Really liking that new 13"... I've been looking for something like it for a while now, and it seems like a really nice compromise between everything else thats out there and missing a feature that I consider critical at a decent price. Now the only question is, how long until we get this thing in Canada!!

The dv7z on BB's website has the same copper finish as the dv3. This isn't a configuration option on HP's website. B&M exclusive?

The dv3, according to Best Buy, is a partnership model that will only be offered at Best Buy. Hence why it is the only HP laptop to come with 2 year warranty standard through HP. The 2 year is a limited parts/labor, so no accidental is provided, but I can almost guarantee that Best Buy will run some sort of plan you can attach for a small amount to give you the accidental additional coverage to coincide with the 2 years from HP. Also, supposedly the dv3 Best Buy has comes with blue LED back lit keyboard as well.

I just bought the DV3510nr yesterday. Its a great looking laptop and includes all the features I wanted and more.

The keyboard backlight is actually white, so are the media buttons(I actually liked blue better) :(

The thing I love, it actually comes with minimal bloatware, compared to other laptops I have used before (maybe because of the Blue Label spec? )

The employees at the Bestbuy didn't even know they had it in stock, until I asked them to search for it. :D :D
