    do you need to have a previous version installed? or can you just go from 'scratch'? thx

    I answered my own question when attempting to install...this is actually an upgrade, you need to have 3.0 or 3.1 installed...
    I don't...it appears there's no way to get the application seperately

    That file is not coming from HP Support. It's on someone's FTP server so I would be very carefull and more so coming from someone with only 2 post to his name

    He should post the URL to the actual file at HP Support.

    Cyberlink are the actual developers of the Quickplay software, so it is safe to download from that location. But if you want to download from HP servers, then here it is...

    Is there any way of installing the whole application? (not just the upgrade?) Does HP make it available?

    When i got my new laptop, the first thing HP Update found was this update to quickplay 3.2 and it seemed to work fine.
