    Hi All,

Just wanted to say that after years of owning various Dell's I finally invested in something different. I've been admiring HP's for a while, just was not sure which one to buy.

So the wife and I went to CompUSA and after looking at a few of what they had on hand, I chose the HP dv8327us. Features/Price benefit for this model is what sold it. There were two rebates available, one $50.00 HP rebate and one $150.00 eRebate from Compusa. They came from the back room with it and the box was open. Apparently they started to put it on display earlier in the day, but realized they already had one out, so I go an additional $50 off from it being an opened box. Cool, $949.99 after all said and done.

I need to repartition it and reload it so I can get all the 'crap' software off of it.

So anyone else own this model and care to share experiences with it?

    Regards,

    Mark

My friend has that same model of dv8000. She loves it.

I don't have much experience with it, but from what my friend says, you'll enjoy it.

    ;)

And nice to have another HPer onboard.

    :D

Actually I have this particular model, but I have the newer video card (GeForce Go 7600).

I'm not a big gamer, but its nice to know I can now.

I need to get used to having a laptop now that has a 10 key pad. :) Not to mention the widescreen.
