    Hello,

    My name is Roy and I'm new in Laptop computer and I have some question about Downgrade from Vista to Xp.

    I know that’s been talk already but I want to know if I can downgrade my Hp laptop .

    My hp laptop model is HP PAVILION DV5-1179

    (sorry but i can't post a link becuse i'm not allow to post url to other site)

    When I saw in the forum how to downgrade but I want to know if its compatible to my computer and if not where I can download driver to XP os.

    and i want to know if my laptop is in DV5xxxt model

    you can downgrade any (reasonably new) laptop to XP. just be sure to follow a good guide, and to search&find all necessary drivers beforehand.

    This is what I want to know if i downgrade all drivers will work (first post)

    I will follow the instructions but can you 99% tell me it will work ?

    And can you tell me what series is my laptop because I can't figure out what is my series

    dvx500t or something else and what is 500t :eek: :confused:

    Well we can't really tell you what your own computer is. You have to find out your own specs or at least post them here.

    It's very easy to find topics about this by using the search function at the right. Also, is there any particular reason why you want XP on it besides you not wanting to try anything new? If you need to run certain programs just run XP as a virtual machine. Much easier without having to find those blasted drivers. Otherwise, I'd say just get used to Vista. Or well, that's just me. Vista runs fine, and I'm too lazy to find drivers just for XP when all my programs run on Vista. Haha.

    i just wnat to know that i have the option to downgrade (for now i'm really happy) to xp and want to collect all xp drivers for badder days.
