    New Laptop Slow Start Up?

    I just got my new DV2500t why when I turn it on after entering my password the welcome screen displays then it goes to a black screen only with a mouse for about a minute and a half? it is really annoying in total my Windows XP turned on faster. I have a top of the line model too!!! After start up it is really fast

    You may also want to consider doing a clean install to remove all of the bloatware that HP installs. While it can take a little time to do this, it will probably speed up your computer.
