So I received my replacement laptop from HP a couple days ago and I did a complete reinstall of Windows 7 professional. The issue I'm having is that the boot time on this laptop seems slower than the one I sent back.

I used this program to measure my boot time: Download windows Boot timer and application Launch Timer and found out it was about 74 seconds. Now it could just be me but doesn't this seem a bit too much for a fresh install of windows?

I used the drivers that were in the SWSetup folder after I reinstalled Windows 7 Pro. My startup consists of only two things: "IDT PC Audio", "Synaptics Pointing Device Driver", "Catalyst Control Center" and "USB 3.0 Monitor".

I'm not quite sure what I should do next to help fix this issue. Can someone else run the utility and see what numbers they get?

    Thanks.

try typing msconfig in the search bar in the startup menu and disable programs that are on start up
