I originally purchased my 17 with a 80G SSD and it is way to small. I have had to install most programs on my 1 TB D drive and am continually fighting to free up space on the SSD.
I am looking for suggestions on what SSD I can replace the 80G with. Per the HP chat, I can only go up to a 300GB SSD. Can anyone confirm? and how do I know what is compatible with my machine? I see from the specifications for the current drive (INTEL SSDMAEMC080G2H) form factor: mSATA, interface SATA 3.0 3Gb/. Do I need to find a drive with the same?

    Thank you

I know it may be a little late to answer this, but I have the Envy 17t 3200, so the slightly newer version with Ivy Bridge CPU opposed to Sandy Bridge, but I installed a Crucial 512GB M550 msata in mine and it works just fine.

The one thing to note is that if an msata SSD is plugged in, it is the default boot device for Hard drives and I don't believe there is a way to change that.
