I'm interested in the 17", any idea of when they'll be available to order through HP? Also will there be an option for ATI video cards rather than the nVidia ones?

The 8710p has NVIDIA Quadro NVS 320M graphics, with 256 MB dedicated video memory (512 MB TurboCache)

The 8710w has NVIDIA Quadro FX 1600M graphics, with 512 MB dedicated video memory

I liked it when the 9420 and the 9440 had the same video card, so then I just choose the cheaper one.

The new 8000 series look very promising and tempting, mainly due to the Nvidia graphics option, which means it'll work perfectly with Linux unlike the craptastic ATI drivers I have to use on the current nc8430.
