We just unboxed my wife's Envy 2nd gen Envy 15, which she just received from HP direct. we definitely ordered the 1920x1080p glossy screen option and it seems to be limited to maximum 1366x768.

we updated to Catalyst 10.7 and tried several different methods but there seems to be no way to change the resolution to 1920x1080

Is there a way to confirm the details of the display in order to verify that HP shipped it with the wrong screen?

Send it back, sounds like it shipped with the wrong screen (High Definition LED HP Brightview Widescreen Display (1366x768)).

You could check the device manager which should tell you the screen, then google it.

I would also check to see driver installed correctly. Sounds like it might be using the default windows driver and ATi driver.

Even the generic Windows driver allows you to use the native resolution of your screen.

Most probably shipped with the wrong screen.
