    New Wireless Mini-N Cards. Are they G compatible?

    I notice on the new notebooks the cards don't specifically list G compatibility like they did when I bought my DV9700t.

    Do they still support the G protocol even though it's listed as an N only card? Or will I be forced to purchase an N router (I hope not, as the current N routers have really poor performance with mixed G/N connections).

    Works great on my Linksys 54 wrtg (its like 7 years old). I'm gonna try to get a better N router for christmas

    Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. I also have a WRT54GS (Version 2.0) and I'm not giving it up until someone produces a Wireless N router that can handle mixed G and N without issues.

    Well you can buy an N router, but if you are using G too, it would just send G signals, thus you would only be using G.
