    Hi,
After reading lots of imformative posts here(thanks guys), I ordered my first laptop computer, dv5000z last night. I know very little about computers, but it seems like I'll get a lot more for my money. :) Before $50 rebate and after tax, I paid $1,541.81 for the following:

HP Pavilion dv5000z customizable Notebook PC
    - FREE Upgrade to Windows(R) XP Media Center Edition
    - AMD Turion(TM) 64 ML-40 (2.2GHz/1MB L2 Cache)
    - 15.4" WXGA BrightView Widescreen (1280x800)
    - 128MB ATI RADEON(R) XPRESS 200M w/Hypermemory(TM)
    - 1.0GB DDR SDRAM (1x1024MB)
    - 80 GB 5400 RPM Hard Drive
    - DVD+/-RW/R & CD-RW Combo w/Double Layer Support
    - 54g(TM) 802.11a/b/g WLAN & Bluetooth
    - HP ExpressCard Analog TV Tuner w/remote control
    - 12 Cell Lithium Ion Battery
    - Microsoft(R) Works/Money
    - hpshopping in-box envelope

BTW, can someone tell me how good those HP cases are? I am looking to buy either this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6785040048&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MEWA:IT&rd=1 or this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6847513671&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MEWA:IT&rd=1
    Any comment will be appreciated.

Configuration looks good, thought I would have bought DDR400 ram from some thing like newegg for much cheaper and it is also faster than HP DDR333.

Also, May be you would have been fine with something like ML-37 or ML-34. But again, not a bad idea if you want fastest processor.
